Background
On 15 July 2003, Koperasi Wawasan Pekerja Berhad (KOWAJA) was registered under the Malaysian Co-operative Societies Commission (SKM) based on the Cooperative Act 1993. KOWAJA is known for its exclusive personal financing products as well as Ar-Rahnu and Marrybrown franchise branches.
KOWAJA always concerned about the current financial complaints of its members by providing professional counselling services and financial advice from time to time so that members do not fall into the trap of unpaid debt or to become entangled in scammer syndicates. With that, KOWAJA has made strides by creating institutional co-operation through loan facilities from financial institutions to employees of government departments, statutory bodies and other co-operatives.
