FINANCIAL RECORDS FOR LOANS – CCRIS

In managing finances, one of the things to take care of is CCRIS and CTOS records. CCRIS is a platform that stores all types of application records and displays a full picture of an individual’s financial health. This CCRIS report is very important to determine whether your loan application is approved or rejected. Every month, relevant institutions such as banks, insurance brokers, and utility companies will update information to Bank Negara Malaysia, and all this information will be collected in the form of a standard CCRIS report.

What is Contained in the CCRIS Report? The CCRIS report provides information related to the borrower’s credit. The information is divided into three important parts:

1. Outstanding Credit – Summary of all outstanding credits and loans. These are unpaid debts including those borrowed individually, joint loans, and business or commercial loans.

2. Special Attention Accounts – Related to overdue loans that the bank has placed under special monitoring. The loans are closely monitored by the financial authorities to recover loan payments.

3. Credit Application – Any credit application that is in process, or that has been approved in the last 12 months.

However, CCRIS reports do not only display negative borrower credit information. This report also shows positive information such as credit approval and repayment history on schedule. Many borrowers think that CCRIS will blacklist the borrower if the borrower has a bad payment pattern. This is a wrong impression or perception because CCRIS only provides data that will be used by financial institutions, does not provide any opinion or blacklist any individual.

For your information, the CCRIS report does not display a direct credit score or evaluation. The CCRIS report provides a comprehensive credit record and real relevant information, so that banks and financial institutions can make an assessment based on the individual’s situation. Each bank and financial institution evaluates loan applications differently, but in general, what they most want to see is timely payments and Debt Service Ratio (DSR) is at a good level. In addition, the other safest way is to maintain a good CCRIS record is that you have to be consistent and disciplined in making loan repayments.
