On February 17, 2024 (Saturday), KOWAJA held a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Rumah Kasih Elderly Care Centre located in Taman Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. The Rumah Kasih is home to 30 residents aged between 50 and 85, managed by five staff members. Donations of basic food items, daily necessities, and some festive cash gifts helped to brighten their spirits and enhance the joyful atmosphere. KOWAJA also contributed 1-unit deep freezer for their daily use. The event, which took place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, was graced by the presence of En. Mohd Fadzli bin Mat Lahim, the Deputy Director of the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia (SKM) for the Federal Territory branch, along with SKM officer En. Hamni @ Farid bin Mat Dros. The event was also attended by KOWAJA board members and staff.
