On 8 November 2025 (Saturday), KOWAJA held a Deepavali 2025 Celebration Ceremony with the residents of Thangam Illam Welfare Organization in Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur. This care center houses 35 residents consisting of orphans, underprivileged individuals, disabled people and senior citizens. They are assisted by 4 volunteer workers who manage the daily needs of the residents. As a sign of concern, KOWAJA presented donations in the form of electrical goods and dry goods for daily needs that can help ease the burden of the management and increase the comfort of the residents. in the form of basic food and daily necessities along with a little duit raya
The ceremony took place from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and was also attended by KOWAJA Board Members and staff along with their respective families. KOWAJA also provided lunch, Marrybrown dishes and sweets. A birthday celebration was also held to add to the excitement of the ceremony with the residents. Hopefully the presence and concern given can bring a little joy and strengthen KOWAJA’s relationship with the community in need.
